Building champions on and off the mat
Our coaches focus on more than wrestling skills. We teach discipline, hard work, teamwork, respect, confidence, sportsmanship, and perseverance. We want our wrestlers to become better athletes, teammates, and people both on and off the mat.
What our program offers
We combine essential athletic development with core personal values to help young athletes build confidence, discipline, and lasting friendships.
Fundamental skill building
Our practices focus on teaching age-appropriate wrestling fundamentals, including stance, motion, takedowns, escapes, control, and other essential skills. We welcome wrestlers of all experience levels.
Character and values
Wrestling teaches more than moves on the mat. Our coaches emphasize discipline, hard work, teamwork, respect, confidence, sportsmanship, and perseverance.
Tournament opportunities
Wrestlers have the opportunity to compete in individual tournaments throughout the season. We strongly encourage wrestlers to participate in as many tournaments as possible to gain valuable mat time, experience, and confidence. All elementary wrestlers are expected to participate in the Westfield Razorbacks Youth Tournament. We also participate in team tournaments, where wrestle-offs may be held to determine spots at each weight.
A community-driven youth sports tradition
As a dedicated non-profit wrestling club serving Blooming Prairie and Hayfield, our goal is to keep youth sports accessible, engaging, and rewarding for every family.
